Where FASO is now
Evidence should clarify the position, not replace the purpose.
FASO has progressed from concept to a working Version 1 system and complete Test Rig. Governed internal system campaigns are complete, an initial controlled external-model baseline has been preserved for future comparison, and interacting-system observation and operator-facing situation awareness have been built. Independent validation and operational use have not been completed.
Current public evidence register
What exists, what it supports and what it does not authorise.
A later unpublished result must not silently turn a fixed checkpoint into a live number. Public claims remain tied to their exact evidence and date.
| Evidence | State | Authority | Public position |
|---|---|---|---|
| FASO-EV-001Purpose, doctrine and system architecture | Established | Internal authority | Controlled public explanation |
| FASO-EV-002Version 1 integrated system | Built | Internal build record | Bounded build claim |
| FASO-EV-003Complete end-to-end Test Rig | Built | Internal build and test record | Bounded capability claim |
| FASO-EV-004Governed full-system assurance checkpoint | Green | Internal assurance record | Bounded assurance claim |
| FASO-EV-005System campaigns and preserved observation baselines | Completed internal stage | Governed internal evidence | Controlled capability summary |
| FASO-EV-006Interacting-system observation and operator presentation | Built | Internal build and run record | Bounded capability claim |
| FASO-EV-007Independent blind validation | Not completed | Future external authority | No validation claim |
| FASO-EV-008Controlled operational pilot | Not started | Future separate authority | No operational claim |
Checkpoint boundary: A complete internal assurance run was green at the published checkpoint. Internal work continued after that checkpoint. The statement is not presented as a live counter or independent validation.
Three kinds of proof
Existence, execution and validity answer different questions.
FASO’s public language must state which question the evidence actually answers.
Build evidence
Does the capability exist?
Architecture, implementation, integration, controlled assurance and protected backups.
Run evidence
What did the system do?
Governed scope, actual outcomes, timing, identity, traceable state results and retained evidence.
Validation evidence
Does the proposition survive independent challenge?
External method, blinded evidence, ground truth, thresholds, analysis, limitations and an independent final report.
Evidence discipline
A result must remain reviewable after the run has ended.
- Immutable evidence and execution identity
- Authority and operator
- Beginning and ending time
- Exact input and output references
- Configuration and controlled-evidence integrity
- Expected and actual outcomes
- Pass, fail, blocked or not-run status
- Evidence links and digests
- Plain-English explanation
- Limitations and uncertainty
Next evidence gate
Internal proof prepares FASO to be challenged. It does not complete the challenge.
The Test Rig and validation page explains exactly where internal testing ends and independent validation begins.
